Life here with my friends is going well. We've more or less adapted to each other, we all get along, and my kitten is getting along much much better than when she first arrived. There's still a lot wrong with life outside the apartment at the moment, which is related to work more than anything. My work hours, which HAD been steadily climbing over the last few weeks, will go back down to under 20 next week. I don't know what I have to do to underline the fact that this is NOT acceptable, any more than I already have. I'm told "It'll get better." Okay, but WHEN will it get better? I can't eat in the long run. I can't pay bills in the long run. I need these things NOW, or in the VERY near future, not months/years from now. I requested 30-40 hours per week for a REASON, not for the hell of it! And of course they're in the process of hiring about FORTY NEW PEOPLE for seasonal. FORTY. This was ANNOUNCED to us, a couple of weeks ago. What business do they have hiring all these people when they ALREADY have people who aren't getting enough hours?! The seasonal people get paid more too for some reason, so it really doesn't make sense.

What makes it worse is that shifts are rarely put up on the swap shift board these days. When they are, they're snapped up in the blink of an eye. The one page that WAS up there, when I checked, had NO available shifts for me to take. NONE. I kid you not. That's how bad it is.

I've already made some bullet lists in Word, of my job experience, education, etc. I just need to turn it into a Resume, polish it, and put it out there. Oh how I'd love a new, better job...This situation I'm in right now is leaving me quite thoroughly miserable.

DEAR TARGET: MY SCHEDULE IS WIDE OPEN. I'M NOT PICKY ABOUT THE TIMES. JUST GIVE ME SOME DAMN SHIFTS!!! DECENT-LENGTH ONES!!!! THEN I'LL QUIT HATING YOU *AS* MUCH AS I ALREADY DO!!! D:<

Anyway. In other news, the sketch commissions are still open if anyone's interested, just $10 per sketch! In any case, after I've made more headway with my current commissions, I'll also be opening up 'regular' ones ALONGSIDE the sketch sale. What are regular commissions, you ask? These are all the non-sketch ones. Full-blown digital paintings, super-detailed works, etc. Traditional paintings as well, which I'll be more than happy to ship out. These will all vary a lot more in price due to the time, detail and possible materials that will go into them. They'll almost certainly cost more than the sketches for that reason, but I'll be making an effort to keep things as affordable as possible under the circumstances.

And after all, if work continues doing the crap it's doing, then I'll have MORE than enough time to work on multiple commissions.

Anyway, I'm going to go back to moping, and trying to find something redeeming about caffeine-free soda.

Sketches of up to 2 characters(original, fandom, mythical, animal, ANYTHING, etc), background and border of your choice, and your choice of coloring are going for a flat rate of $10 each. Paypal preferred, cash discouraged, and personal checks accepted by close friends only. Sketches will be started upon receipt of payment and will only take a day or two to be finished/posted. If you refer a friend who decides to commission me, you will get $2 off of your own order (refer up to five friends and get a free sketch!!)

***How to Commission Me***
Simply send a note, titled 'commission request' or something similar. In the note, please include:
+ Summary of what you would like, complete with any relevant character descriptions. Be as detailed as you like, and be prepared for me to ask about stuff.
+ In your description of the picture you want, include the following:
-+ Style of the picture (anime, realism, cartoon, etc)
-+ Level of detail (simple, complex, and whether you want shadows/highlights)
-+ Coloring style (soft, bold, bright, deep, if you want only a few colors, one color, or color scheme, etc)
-+ Borders and backgrounds, if you want them included.


Accepted Forms of Payment (after the promotion ends)
Paypal preferred, as checks or cash sent via mail are at a higher risk of getting lost or stolen.

Payment Policy
Full payment must be received before I start work, payment installments are acceptable as long as the total is received before the work is finished. If you commission me, make a payment, and later cancel the commission before completion, you may only receive a partial refund depending on how far I am with the piece.
